We believe in the divine inspiration of God’s word, the Bible. We believe in the Bible’s absolute inerrancy in the original revelation. We are convinced of the Bible’s infallibility, authority and sufficiency.
We believe in the one true sovereign God, maker and ruler of heaven and earth, infinite, incorruptible, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, immutable Spirit, perfect in all that He is. We believe that God is three persons, one in essence: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His perfect life, His miracles and His death on the cross. We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of the Father. We believe that He will return in glory and majesty at the appointed time to judge the living and the dead.
We believe that man, lost in sin and unable to save himself, is saved by the grace of God when the repentant sinner having put their trust in Christ as Saviour. We believe that the salvation of a person is wholly of God on the basis of the redeeming work of Jesus Christ and that salvation is not on the basis of human merit or works.
We believe that obedience to our Lord is a necessary consequence of true saving faith, and we believe that the believer is kept by the power of God and is secure in Christ forever
We believe in the work of instruction, sanctification and empowerment by the Holy Spirit of the believer. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved at the end of time. The saved to resurrection of eternal life and the unsaved to damnation
We believe in the baptism, by immersion in water, of the professing believer in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe baptism is symbolic of salvation of the sinner; remission of sins is signified by baptism and is accompanied by confession of sins, repentance, faith and submission to the Lordship of Christ
We believe in the body of Christ: the Church and that Jesus is the head of the Church. The purpose of the Church is to glorify God by:
- building up its members in the faith,
- by Biblical teaching,
- by fellowship,
- by keeping the ordinances of Believers’ Baptism and The Lord’s Supper,
- by fulfilling the Great Commission as defined in Matt28v19-20.
We believe that the Church is kept by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ and should therefore be governed by His laws. The Church should be exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in it by His Word.
